simply going by the name piper, she is a somewhat anti-social girl... her only known friend is jessica and she likes her company... her parents are divorced and lives with her father, who owns a paper manufacturing company... she is always picked on and made fun of because of her looks and lifestyle... one day she is pushed too far and leaves the school grounds... as a worried friend, jessica follows piper to her father's paper company... after looking around for piper, jessica finds her at the balcony overlooking the factory... she accidentally frightens piper and she falls into a compression machine... moments later, police disassemble the massive machine only to discover no body... during jessica's down-ward spiral to losing control of the symbiote, a mysterious shadow lurks at the high school... weeks after piper's funeral, reports of strange deaths were accruing on school grounds, where the corpses were drain of all bodily fluids and made paper thin... although no one's seen the murder, they all believe it to be the ghost of piper... and they were right, but piper was not dead... after revenge for everyone who tortured her, the newly reborn piper becomes the frightful paperdoll, and a deadly enemy for both spider-man and spider-woman...
