i really liked this class. it was fun and the teacher was great.

this project was to look through magazines and cut out 3-4 images we found interesting and copy them exactly on another paper with colored pencils. but we had to make one change from the original images. i choose the titles behind the girl and changed it to a wood pattern.

took a while to get the girl's face the right color and get the most darkest black for the eye image.

still i'm amazed i was able to do this. if it wasn't for this class, i would have never had tried it.

the images were cut out from National Geographic. i believe the project took 4-5 hours. used Prismacolor pencils. iPod for photo.

It amazes me you were able to do this with colored pencils! What kind of colored pencils were these?
The bottom picture exposing something reminds me of one of my favorite paintings, Rembrandt's "The Anatomy Lesson of Dr. Nicolaes Tulp," though admittedly due to the subject of the piece rather than style. I'm so curious what that bottom image you chose was depicting.
